And the winner is...

First off, thank you to everyone who participated in the first MIDAS MISSION Public Health Hackathon. The feedback has been ovewhelmingly positive, and it was great to see all of the work and creativity that went into our submissions.  The judges have decided. This was a difficult decision for our judges as all of the entries were really good, espcially given the fact that they were all written over a two day period.

The winners of the 2016 MIDAS MISSION Public Health Hackathon - Visualization are:

1st Place: SPEW VIEW,  Team: SPEW

2nd Place: Galapagos, Team: Blitz and Chitz

3rd Place: Drug Poisoning Mortality: US 2002-2014, Team: Team Rocket

You can view all of the submissions at the gallery.

We would like to thank Intel OPA and Dell for their generous sponsorship of this hackathon.

Even though the competition is over, you don't have to stop coding. Update your portfolio to inform your followers about new projects and get feedback from fellow hackers.

We will be sending an invitation to all of our teams to come to our next MISSION 2.0 Webinar to demo their work in front of the entire MIDAS MISSION group, which will be a great chance for you to get exposure for your work and show your skills so some of the countries leading public health modeling researchers.

Thank you all again for your participation and I look forward to our next hackathon!
